Planting Trees
Growing Transparency
GrowTRUE connects individuals and businesses with vetted international tree-planting organisations that meet our strict criteria for truly sustainable reforestation.
Who We Are
We believe that planting trees is one of the most impactful ways to combat climate change and promote environmental sustainability. However, reforestation is about more than planting a tree – once a seed is planted it must grow and flourish.
When funding a reforestation project, purchasing carbon credits or donating to an organisation to offset your carbon footprint, there are a number of questions that most people struggle to answer.
How do you know your trees will be thriving a year from now? How about five years? Ten?
What’s are the true financial costs involved with planting a tree?
What do you know about the credentials and experience of those doing the planting?
How do you know your trees will be thriving a year from now? How about five years? Ten?
What’s are the true financial costs involved with planting a tree?
What do you know about the credentials and experience of those doing the planting?
We are committed to 100% transparency and being able to answer these questions.
When you plant through one of our partners, you’ll receive a complete breakdown of what is being planted on your behalf, where it’s being planted, project updates, a planting certificate, and a breakdown of the true costs involved.
By opting for yearly updates, you’ll receive annual planting reports containing information such as tree survival rates, carbon sequestration data, and visual images gained from fixed cameras, drones, and in-person site assessments.
GrowTRUE is working on a number of initiatives to make the planting process more transparent than ever, including the use of live satellite technology, and we look forward to sharing these exciting projects in the near future.
What We Do
GrowTRUE was formed by a group of individuals with over a decade of experience in the tree-planting world. Our members have led a multitude of sustainable reforestation projects across the planet, including tropical forest projects, urban greening initiatives, and marine reforestation.

Tree Planting
We visit, assess and vet reforestation organisations and planting sites to ensure your money funds futureproof projects.

Follow-Ups
We take pride in our commitment to transparency, providing regular, trustworthy updates on the progress of all tree planting projects and partners.

Carbon Credits
We can provide carbon credits for organizations aiming to meet net-zero targets through our partners’ projects. By investing in our projects, you can support reforestation and reduce your environmental impact.

Internships
We offer global internship opportunities through our partners for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in reforestation.
How Much Does It Cost to Plant a Tree?
Have you ever wondered why trees vary greatly in price when it comes to reforestation projects?
The cost of planting a tree can vary depending on the location, the type of tree, and the specific needs of the tree, but this isn’t always communicated clearly.
We prefer being completely upfront about the true costs involved with reforestation, so there’s no question that the money is being spent the right way.
These are just a few of the costs that tree-planting organizations must factor in:
Land Preparation
Land for planting
Local permits
Machinery for site preparation
Oil and gasoline for machinery
Truckloads of soil
Tree Planting
Fertiliser
Manure
Planting Bags
Structures for planting bags
Rice or coconut husks
Sprinkler systems
Water pumps
Gasoline for water pumps
Staffing
Staff for collecting seeds
Staff for tending nurseries
Staff for planting trees
Staff for weeding
Transport for staff to and from planting sites
Staff housing
Food and water for staff
Carbon Credits
Carbon credits are a way for your business to offset its carbon emissions and contribute to net-zero targets by investing in projects that reduce or avoid greenhouse gas emissions elsewhere. Essentially, you can purchase credits that represent a quantity of carbon dioxide that has been removed from the atmosphere or not emitted in the first place. This investment supports our partners’ reforestation projects and demonstrates your business’ commitment to reducing their carbon footprint while contributing to global efforts to mitigate climate change.
Internships
Work alongside experts in the field, learn about sustainable practices, and make a meaningful contribution to the environment by gaining hands-on, practical experience in conservation.
“I was given so many opportunities to expand my knowledge and experience through working on a forestry research project, conducting tours on site, teaching at a local school, and community planting and clean up events.”
Rebecca B.
Environmental Science Intern
“During the course of my internship I acquired several skills in this area of work – reforestation site assessment, observational & analytical tools for forest health, and collaboration with communities as a means of aligning local economies with sustainability, just to name a few.”
Max T.
Forestry Management Intern
“Spending a summer working to promote reforestation and wildlife conservation in the mountains of northern Thailand was a truly unforgettable experience. There are so many ways to get involved with the organization, whether it be assisting with planting trees, giving tours, tending to animals, crunching numbers or marketing.”

Environmental Conservation Intern
We work closely with our global partners to identify and create opportunities for conservation interns across a range of disciplines, including but not limited to forestry management, environmental science, permaculture, wildlife ecology, and environmental education.
Through these partnerships, we connect talented and motivated individuals with exciting and challenging roles in the field of reforestation in a range of locations across the globe. By providing training, mentorship, and hands-on experience, our reforestation interns are able to make a meaningful contribution to the restoration of degraded ecosystems and the protection of biodiversity.

Store
We’re currently devoloping our innovative online store to let you choose exactly what trees you want to plant, where you want to plant them. Our goal is to be completely transparent in our pricing and to reflect the true costs of planting the trees you pick, while offering you as much choice as possible.
While we are a young organisation, our team consists of individuals with decades of tree-planting experience. Our network of planting organisations is already growing, and we are in the process of finalising partnerships with tree-planters in Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

We are proud to announce our first official partnership with the Thailand-based reforestation organisation, Conserve Natural Forests.
Send us an email at info@growtrue.co.uk or complete the contact form below and we can work with you directly to create a custom planting package of any size.
